Breastpump Rentals

A hospital-grade breast pump is recommended when a baby is not yet breastfeeding and a pump needs to be effective enough to establish full milk production. These pumps are used when babies are born preterm, sick, or are not breastfeeding for other reasons. Although multi-user pumps are shared, each mother attaches her own milk collection kit to the pump, which keeps her milk separate.

Vesta rents the Medela Symphony hospital-grade breastpump, which is used at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital.

Pump rentals require a valid driver’s licence and a VISA or Mastercard as identification and mechanism for payment for non-returned or damaged pumps.

The rental includes breast pump only, you must have or purchase a collection kit for use with the pump.  If you were provided with a Medela collection kit at the hospital it would be compatible and you would not need to purchase an additional collection kit.  Kits are non-returnable.
